THE ROLE OF SQUARE SCULPTURE IN ASSERTING NATIONAL VALUES

Abstract

Sculpture is three-dimensional fine arts concerned with affirmation of aesthetic values, its role is rooted in its interaction with recipient, in sculpture works in squares and public plazas, its role is integrated not only as sculpture values that deal with proportions, mass and space and its relation to urban and architectural surrounding. An Aesthetic role when evaluating visual dialogue with recipient, and what carries the work of square sculpture, its meanings and connotations reach recipient at level of the individual and society, it comes the work of sculptural field as one of mechanisms to establish national values, Meanings and spirit of nationalism in the sculptural works in public fields, this is done in several ways, including the embodiment of national symbols that have had a role in enriching the political, economic and cultural life, rephrasing cultural heritage as the vocabulary of ancient Egyptian, Coptic and Islamic civilization, documenting national, Monuments, and whether the sculptural work in the fields represents one of these methods, they all unite to influence the recipient's conscience and to give it specific meaning. The research based on study of the Formulation of mechanism field sculpture stripped of these national goals. The second axis deals with methods of formulating sculptural works in public fields, how to establish a visual dialogue with recipient so as to establish values of nationalism and the spirit of citizenship. Study some examples of sculptural works evaluate visual dialogue, emphasizing national values in our society.
