The importance of musical education for the primary stage and its role in building the child in the State of Kuwait

Abstract

The upbringing of the Kuwaiti child occupies a great place in the 
hearts of Kuwaiti families. Wherever the Kuwaiti child is found, 
we find his mother singing for him. From this standpoint, we find 
that the child’s song in Kuwait has taken a distinctive form 
among the songs of the areas bordering the State of Kuwait. The 
first Kuwaiti child is brought up within his primary group, which 
is the family, which It is considered the main source for 
encouraging the growth of the child’s inclinations and abilities. 
The Kuwaiti mother used to teach her child obedience, loyalty 
and respect to his father first and then to family members, as well 
as fixing some religious and patriotic principles in his mind from 
an early age by teaching him some simple songs aimed at the 
beginning of his life, as children generally have innate tendencies 
for music And through the mother’s singing of those simple 
songs that the child learns, we find that they are entrenched in his mind without awareness 
or realization of the words of those songs. Perception and 
awareness. This stage is considered the basic stage in building 
the child’s personality, and it is the cornerstone of the 
educational process, as it is the period in which the first seeds for 
the child’s personality are laid. And its crystallization, and the 
emergence of its features in the future of his life, which is the 
period in which the child’s thought is more clear and stable than 
before and aware of himself in all mental, physical, 
psychological and social aspects, which helps him to live in 
society and adapt to it, and musical education has received great 
attention in all countries of the world. The Kuwaiti government 
has given educational systems great attention to the formation of 
the personality of the Kuwaiti child, and to provide him with the 
opportunity for comprehensive growth spiritually, intellectually 
and physically. The use of music in the development of the 
creative thinking of the child, because reliance on indoctrination 
has become unacceptable as the basis for the education process, 
and in confirmation of this, the scientist (Torrance) saw that the 
modern era in which we live represents the pinnacle of musical 
development, which represents a summary of the results of 
creative minds, and he stressed the need to pay attention Creative 
students, because the goal of the educational process is the 
progress and prosperity of the individual in various directions.
