Abstract

Hermeneutics represents the necessary tool for overcoming apparent conflicts between texts to meet the reader's needs. In the early rabbinic texts, hermeneutics adopted an approach that differs from that prevalent in the Qumran texts. This study aims to present the basic rules that governed hermeneutics in the early rabbinic texts and to present a thematic classification of the Qumran Scrolls, seeking to explore the Qumran community's knowledge of hermeneutics and the rules governing it
